MusicZen v2 Basic Is Here — Plus What's Coming in Pro
I’m excited to share that MusicZen v2 Basic is live and free to download for Mac, Windows, and Linux. This is the foundation for everything coming next, so here’s what’s in it, what’s coming in the Pro version, and how you can lock in a Founder License while it’s still in development.
What’s in v2 Basic
v2 Basic is free forever, no catch. It includes:
- Organize MP3, FLAC, M4P, OGG, WAV, AIFF, AAC, and ALAC
- Pre-defined directory structures to keep your library consistent
- Works with large music libraries
- Available for Mac, Windows, and Linux
What’s Coming in Pro
I’m actively building the Pro version, which builds on everything in Basic with a lot more control over how your files get organized:
- Select specific file types to organize
- Handle duplicates — move, copy, or skip
- Build custom directory and file name structures
- Task Report with a full music library overview
- Activity, duplicates, and error logs
Pro isn’t finished yet, but you don’t have to wait to lock in the best price.
How to Get a Founder License
If you’d like to support development and get Pro the moment it ships, you can grab a Founder License now for $16 — a one-time payment for a lifetime license, no subscription. The regular price at launch will be $26, so getting in early saves you $10 and helps fund the work between now and then.
Once Pro is ready, you’ll get a download link and your license key by email — no extra steps needed.
Get Started
Ready to try Basic? Here’s the short version:
- Download MusicZen for your platform
- Point it at your music folder — start with a small batch to confirm you get the output you want
- Hit organize
